2021 - LEAK Drake Certified Lover Boy Album [Download] Zip Drake issued the three-song Scary Hours 2 EP in March, and has also joined Smiley and Brent Faiyaz on songs this year. In May, he and Lil Wayne joined Nicki Minaj on “Seeing Green,” a new bonus track that accompanied the belated streaming debut of her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty. Before that, Drake had teamed up on new tracks with Lil Yachty, DJ Khaled, Future, Lil Wayne, and Popcaan. Outside of the studio, he launched his own cannabis brand and was honored at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards as the Artist of the Decade.

Drake's new album Certified Lover Boy is out this Friday, and today Rap Radar's Elliott Wilson shared the project's cover art. It consists of 12 pregnant lady emojis. Ridiculous, but also very Drake. See it below.

He also drove around his hometown to hand out some swag.

Last year, Drake dropped his Dark Lane Demo Tapes, a 14-track release featuring “Toosie Slide,” his Future collaboration “Desires,” and more. In 2019, Drake released Care Package, a compilation of tracks originally released between 2010 and 2016. The project brought fan favorites—such as “Girls Love Beyoncé” and “How About Now”—to streaming services for the first time.

But that wasn’t all. Drake also put up the phrases from the tees on a pair of billboards in Toronto. Drake’s first CLB x Nike merch drop was released back in 2020 and has since sold-out.

Drake fans have been waiting for a new album for a couple years now, with scarcely any teasers to whet their whistles. Back in January, Drizzy kept them waiting by pushing back the original release date of his new LP, Certified Lover Boy, to an unknown date. Rumors suggested that Certified Lover Boy would drop in the first week of August but no dice. Thanks to LeBron James, however, fans have good cause to be optimistic.

The post includes what may be the album’s cover: little cartoons of pregnant women (take it away, Internet!)…

Kanye then publicly leaked the Canadian rapper's address and, as if the crap of the famous wasn't enough, Drake fans took the artist's pain and vandalized Kanye's childhood home in Chicago, recreated inside Soldier Field Stadium for the last DONDA audition days ago.

This comes as Drake and Kanye West rebooted their yearslong tension. West seemed to call out Drake in "Pure Souls" in the lead-up to the release of Donda, and Drake returned the favor in his verse on Trippie Redd's "Betrayal." West would go on to leak Drake's home address. With Donda and Certified Lover Boy out in the same week, it's likely the public will judge the two albums against each other.

Dark Lane Demo Tapes was the first Drake project in 10 years that didn’t debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, ending the streak that began with the release of Thank Me Later in 2010. He made an appearance on Lil Wayne’s Apple Music radio program Young Money Radio shortly after the release of the mixtape to talk about the project, how the COVID-19 pandemic made him reconsider how he wanted to release music, and more.

In other Certified Lover Boy news, Drizzy confirmed that his sixth studio album will arrive on Friday, September 3 and shared the album’s meme-worthy Damien Hirst-designed cover art.

The proper follow-up to 2018’s Scorpion, Certified Lover Boy is expected to include Drake’s double-platinum collaboration with Lil Durk, “Laugh Now Cry Later.” Other details surrounding the album remain scarce for now.

The Canadian rap star posted an image of 12 expectant mom emojis on Instagram along with the all-caps message “Certified Lover Boy September 3.”

Now Drake has confirmed the date, along with the album cover, which features twelve pregnant women emojis. Naturally, speculation as to what this might mean already runs rampant.

Drake took to Instagram to unveil more Certified Lover Boy merch.

It marks a distinct aesthetic shift from Drake's previous five albums, which mostly feature his own face; "Views" is the only exception, showing the rapper sitting on top of Toronto's CN Tower.

Ye followed up by posting Drake's home address on Instagram before quickly deleting it.

Drake first began hyping CLB in August 2020 in the midst of the first pandemic summer, with "Laugh Now Cry Later," then teasing a potential Jan. 2021 drop. That date came and went and then Drizzy filled the gap with the three-song Scary Hours 2 EP featuring "What's Next," Wants and Needs" and "Lemon Pepper Freestyle."

According to an IG video, Drake also appeared to take a night drive around Toronto with some friends to hand out some of the CLB-themed shirts featuring the same lyrics, handing out the swag to shocked and amazed fans on the street. "City's hot right now. They know what's up!" he said in the clip with a big smile.

According to TIDAL’s Elliott Wilson, the pregnant women emoji picture is the official CLB album cover. The artwork appears to have been designed by British artist Damien Hirst, who Drake tagged in his Instagram announcement post.

Certified Lover Boy is Drake’s sixth studio album and the follow-up to his fifth studio album, Scorpion, which was released on June 29, 2018.

Drake’s highly anticipated next album “Certified Lover Boy” is nearly here…if a cryptic video on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” is to be believed.

“Album’s cooked,” he said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friday radio show. “Looking forward to delivering it to you … OVO, we aim for that head. We don’t aim to please. Certified Lover Boy on the way. And that’s for anyone in the way.”

Tidal's chief content officer Elliott Wilson confirmed the image as the album's official cover on Twitter. It was also shared by OVO Sound, the record label cofounded by Drake and his longtime producer, Noah "40" Shebib.

On August 10, King James took to Instagram stories to declare "CLB Coming Soon People. My brother ain't FN around". Unfortunately, the statement wasn't accompanied by any new audio previews. Instead, Drake's "4PM in Callabasas" played in the background.

Drake took to Instagram on Monday (August 30) to break the news, posting a collage of pregnant women emojis with the caption, “CERTIFIED LOVER BOY SEPTEMBER 3.”

While plenty of fans expressed excitement about the new album's imminent arrival, many are repulsed by the cover, which has been described as "ugly," "abysmal," and "offensively bad" on Twitter.

On August 10, King James took to Instagram stories to declare "CLB Coming Soon People. My brother ain't FN around". Unfortunately, the statement wasn't accompanied by any new audio previews. Instead, Drake's "4PM in Callabasas" played in the background.

“@ovomark and @drwferguson giving out tees tonight in the 6 link up with the man demmm,” Drake wrote.

So… is Drake hiding 12 children?

Though Certified Lover Boy is the full-length successor to 2018’s Scorpion, Drake has released some new material in between, including last year’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes. The project—Drake’s first in a decade not to make a No. 1 Billboard debut—included his attempted dance challenge “Toosie Slide.”

Drake may have revealed the release date for his new album Certified Lover Boy with a brief video teaser during ESPN's SportsCenter. In the clip, spotted by Pitchfork, an unseen figure holds up a sign reading CLB September 3. A representative for Drake told Rolling Stone that the clip can be taken "at face value" without confirming that the album will actually be released next week.

On an episode of OVO Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friday on Sirius XM earlier this month, Drake shared that Certified Lover Boy was complete. “Album’s cooked. Looking forward to delivering it to you,” Drake said. “OVO, we aim for the head, we don’t aim to please. Certified Lover Boy on the way, and that’s for anyone in the way.”

No release info for the merch has been announced just yet, but it’s likely that they will drop soon considering that Certified Lover Boy is confirmed to release on September 3.

On July 30, Drake announced he had finished Certified Lover Boy, which he started recording in April 2019.

Drake's fight with Kanye West

With Kanye West once again not dropping his album after the latest Donda event, could he finally strike next week with Drake's release date seemingly in the books? Last week, the two rap superstars traded shots, with Drake firing first on Trippie Redd's new song, "Betrayal." "All these fools I'm beefin' that I barely know/ Forty-five, forty-four (Burned out), let it go/ Ye ain't changin' s--- for me, it's set in stone," he rapped.

Later in the evening, OVO Mark drove around the streets of Toronto to gift fans with the merch. Mark even hopped on Live with Drake as he was passing out the t-shirts.

Days before the release, Drake shared the Certified Lover Boy album cover, designed by British artist Damien Hirst, depicting 12 different pregnant woman emoji. Around the same time, billboards sprouted in Toronto seemingly teasing lyrics. Boy, are these Drake lyrics exceedingly Drake: "I don't miss . . . let alone miss you." There's also, "Should've said you loved me today because tomorrow is a new day." I can practically hear the soft clickety clack of Instagram captions being typed away now.

Whether or not September 3 actually materializes as the release date for both albums, one thing is clear: Drake and Kanye are masters of making headlines.

Last week, Drake momentarily took over ESPN‘s SportsCenter program in the style of a broadcast hack. The Canadian rapper was seen holding a piece of cardboard with a handwritten message, “CLB September 3,” hinting at his Certified Lover Boy album release date.

This morning, ESPN's SportsCenter was interrupted with a cryptic clip of a faceless figure holding up a cardboard sign reading "CLB September 3." Though the Lover Boy himself has neither confirmed nor denied the drop date, a representative told Rolling Stone that the mysterious teaser can be taken "at face value."

Drake has revealed the release date for his long-awaited new album, Certified Lover Boy, on ESPN’s flagship program SportsCenter Friday, August 27th.

The post on the social network, which was accompanied by a photo showing the emoji of different pregnant women that could become the cover art for the new album, reveals that the rapper's work arrives on September 3rd — and, of course, There have already been speculations that the strategy is to compete with Kanye West.
