Adam Smith [dob:1866]
Adam Gordon Smith was born 31 July 1866 at Tallageira Station, Victoria and educated at Hawthorn Grammar School, Melbourne. He followed a pastoral career, gaining his pastoral experience on Isis Downs and Avington Stations, Queensland. Later he managed Northampton Downs near Blackall, Queensland and later, Avon Downs, Northern Territory and Sarkiton in the Alpha district of Queensland. Returned to Victoria, purchased farming property at Loch, South Gippsland, subsequently acquiring property at Jericho, Queensland.
Adam married Emily Stephenson. He died 13 August 1912 at Barcaldine, Queensland.[1]
